I’m blessed, I am truly blessed. She is wise, she is a wonderful mother, she is a trusted and dear friend to many. We enjoy a love affair that I had no idea could ever exist. Our souls are inextricably joined at the hip. We’re like a couple of kids in love – and more than for myself, I am grateful that our kids get to grow up amidst such a love affair. I tell them constantly not to accept anything less in their own relationships. However, the important thing to remember is that she chose me: and she did not choose me for my looks. She is very intelligent — when I met her she was studying for a PhD — and our relationship quickly flourished based on our shared understanding and outlook on the world. The common fears that men associate with having an attractive wife simply don’t occur. She doesn’t find most men attractive and she doesn’t really waste any time pretending otherwise. She has no interest in hiding her intelligence or in hiding the strange way she looks at the world. She doesn’t want men to express interest in her “that way” and generally they figure that out and don’t bother.
